Essity is searching for a Communications Manager to join the Corporate Communications team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role reports to the Communications Director – North America.
The Communications Manager will execute internal and external communication plans and activities for Essity in North America, which includes approximately 3,500 employees and 14 offices and production facilities. You’ll collaborate and build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across various functions and business areas.
You will apply your internal communications expertise to engage and inform employees about the company’s strategy, results and culture, optimizing a mix of internal communication channels. Additionally, you’ll contribute to our goal of increasing external awareness of Essity in markets with local operations through support of media relations and CSR activities.
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
•Leads channel management process. Evaluates, recommends and effectively executes a variety of communication tools and media, to include a mix of digital and traditional channels. Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely dissemination of news.
•Partners with regional internal contacts in markets with Essity operations to ensure effective delivery of communications initiatives
•Manages HR and wellness communications activities
•Contributes to external/PR activities in regional markets, including execution of community activities, external events and idea generation
•Develops content including written materials for Intranet, video production and relevant communications materials
•Provides support as needed for a wide range of communications events and projects in North America, including effective execution of quarterly update meetings, global news dissemination and local activities
•Contributes to best practice sharing within the communications function
•Manages external agencies and providers as needed
•Supports special projects in collaboration with the Corporate Communications team.
•University Degree in Communication, PR or Marketing, or equivalent with relevant practice
•5+ years working experience in Communications, PR or Marketing, preferably in matrixed and/or global corporation
•Expertise in external communications and media relations
•Expertise in internal communications, communications consulting and project management
•Excellent writing, editing, communications, networking and relationship building
•Excellent digital communication skills
•Excellent English language skills
•Ability to travel (less than 10%)
