The John Templeton Foundation provides support for research and the dissemination of research in a variety of areas. Typically, projects involving research and dissemination do so in the context of different, specific Big Questions that lie within and at the intersection of multiple disciplines. More specifically, the Foundation supports work that seeks to uncover the fundamental nature of reality, including work in physics, biology, philosophy, theology, mathematics, and the social and human sciences. In addition, the Foundation supports research and programs in areas such as Freedom and Free Enterprise, Genetics, and the discovery and nurturing of Exceptional Cognitive Talent and Creativity.

Reporting to the Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, the Engagement Associate will coordinate all aspects of the daily operations of the Department’s Engagement Team, including assisting with outreach efforts, maintaining various contact lists, organizing the team’s filing system, and providing ongoing administrative support and grant monitoring. In addition, the Engagement Associate will assist with all aspects of the proposal development, intake and review processes, from proposal submittal through grant award. The Engagement Associate will track grantee documents and make recommendations to the Vice President or Director on scheduled payments.

The successful candidate for this role will have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills, both oral and written. Technical skills must include demonstrated competence in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat. Experience within a fast-paced office environment is preferred. At least 3 years of experience in administrative operations, as well as a demonstrated interest in marketing, public relations, and digital and print media, is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
