Director for Communications: Conshohocken, PA

The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners is seeking an
individual with a bachelors degree in Communications and/or Marketing.
This new position will be located in NBOMEs Executive Offices in
Conshohocken, PA. All applicants must have at least 3 years of corporate
and/or nonprofit communication and marketing experience and a strong
writing ability.

The Director for Communications will direct and implement activities
designed to enhance communications internally and externally with NBOMEs
employees, volunteers, leaders and constituents. The position requires
hands-on technical and computer skills as well as the ability to direct
programs and manage multiple-projects simultaneously. Candidates should
be able to develop and maintain a coherent look and feel for the NBOME
brand in all aspects of communication. The individual should be a
creative and strategic thinker. This individual will also work with
leadership and others to develop presentation materials which promote
the uniqueness of NBOME and its future plans. Travel is required to
national meetings.

This newly created position will expand communication methods that have
been utilized by NBOME including website, newsletter, annual report and
press releases and develop new programs to promote NBOME. Blog, forums
and webcast communication experience is preferred but not required.

As NBOMEs mission is to protect the public by providing the means to
access competencies for osteopathic medicine and related health care
professions, a portion of the job will be to trend activities and
regulations related to state medical boards and other pertinent
organizations. Knowledge of medical licensing is preferred but not
required.

Job Requirements
– Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and/or Marketing
– 3 years of corporate and/or nonprofit communication and marketing
experience
– Strong writing ability
– Website, newsletter, annual report and press releases experience
– Blog, forums and webcast communication experience is preferred but
not required
– Knowledge of medical licensing is preferred but not required
