eCommerce Content Coordinator


The Pep Boys Headquarters, located in Philadelphia, PA is looking for an Online Content Coordinator who will work on our eCommerce team. This role is an integral part of Pep Boys’ online eCommerce efforts. The eCommerce Content Coordinator is accountable for the day-to-day creation, management and execution of online content (content may be articles, blurbs, text, etc.) presented on the PBY website, including content creation, proofing, coordinating, scheduling and publishing editorial and promotional copy and image content for the testing and production areas of PBY’s website.


v Create new and manage current content for online channel to support Marketing, Merchandising, and eCommerce initiatives.

v Manage the content calendar in an organized and detailed manner.

v Manage content traffic flow among cross-functional teams from Merchandising, Store Operations and Marketing, including PBY’s third-party service providers, to ensure all content is created, delivered, proofed, edited, uploaded and published in a timely manner and in compliance with PBY’s identity and online guidelines, as well as online best practices.

v Create landing pages from new and existing content assets.

v Interface with vendors to advance online content initiatives.

v Assist the eCommerce team with sourcing content from suppliers and third-parties, as needed.

v Coordinate online product photography schedule.

v Assist with video eCommerce platform.

v Assist other members of the Online Operations team, as needed.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Certifications:

v Bachelor’s degree required.

v Excellent writing skills required.

v Copywriting and editing skills required.

v Previous e-commerce experience preferred; multi-channel retailing experience preferred.

v Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, including appreciation for customer experience, required.

v Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross-departmental team.

v Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and manage time to meet deadlines required.

v Demonstrated ability to work unattended and as a member of a team required.

v Demonstrated attention to detail, combined with ability to not to get lost in details required.

v Organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.

v Analytical skills a plus.

v Thorough understanding of the Internet, and ability to use the Internet and Internet technologies to perform job functions required.

v Familiarity with various content management systems a plus.

v Well-developed Microsoft Office product suite skills required.

v SEO experience preferred.

v Adobe SiteCatalyst or Google Analytics experience a plus.

v Online and/or offline marketing experience a plus.

v Automotive-related experience a plus.
