Members of IABC Philadelphia’s board of directors participated in the planning and delivery of a career information event, “Pizza, Pitch and Panel” at Immaculata University March 25. The program was organized by board members Regina Biunno, Taryn Robinson and Janet Skidmore, who worked closely with faculty, staff, and students at Immaculata to design the program, which included a “speed interviewing” exercise in which IABC volunteers conducted and evaluated mock interviews with students to test their ability to think on their feet and under pressure. Three students who scored the highest in the mock interviews were awarded student IABC memberships.

Following the mock interviews, IABC board members Steve Lubetkin, Bill Seiberlich, and Earl Whipple joined Gwen Cantarera, director of marketing operations for Leidos Health, on a panel to answer student questions about career planning, tips and advice.

IABC Philadelphia hopes to offer the program structure to other schools in the area.
