Internal Communications Associate II, TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®

Department: Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA)

Based in Mt. Laurel, N.J.  

The Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA) department is looking for a professional communicator to provide internal communications support for the HR team at TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank. This role will support the Organizational Development, Benefits, Wellness and Retirement portfolios with their internal communications needs. The candidate will also be responsible for distribution of internal communications throughout the Bank.



  • Manage Organizational Development (OD) projects and teams that require internal communications
  • Own the relationship with the HRLT member who manages the Benefits, Wellness and Retirement portfolio and manage internal communications
  • Provide support to the corporate HR file and internal communications 
  • Coordinate and manage the distribution for all Bank-wide announcements and manage distribution lists
  • Manage the relationships with the WOW! Department and manage the internal communications; Reward and Recognition communications including Quarterly WOW! Stars; WOW! Awards; and the U.S. involvement in the VIA awards
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to design and execute effective, concise communications
  • Consult with senior leaders within the Bank and manage their communications needs as needed in support of the overall HR portfolio within Corporate and Public Affairs
  • Support the CAPA team as needed for event management and logistics
  • Release communications to proper audiences in a timely and professional manner handling multiple, cascading messages through the management level then to Employees as determined through conversations and counsel with business leaders
  • Consult with and counsel business to assist in drafting internal employee communications, then manage the release and provide support before, during and after employee events and activities
  • Assist in managing master calendar of internal communications activities supporting entire team
  • Daily interaction with other CAPA areas to leverage external communications for internal use
  • Maintain departmental process documents, departmental reporting and related internal communications systems
  • Proofread internal communications to ensure accurate content, branding, style and TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank, voice
  • Support manager and team with HR-related communications and administrative office tasks as needed
  • Handle additional projects as needed to support internal communications team

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts; English, Communications or Marketing majors preferred
  • Five years of communications experience or internship
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills and knowledge of AP style
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of social media is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superior process management and organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
  • Demonstrated experience exercising judgment and managing sensitive situations and confidential information
  • Ability to handle accounting duties and process paperwork
