Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) and the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation are looking for a professional, energetic, and articulate student for an
internship opportunity. This will be a paid position and can be for college credit.

Qualifications:
. Must be a current college undergraduate student (Junior or Senior) and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
. Must be obtaining a degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, or Hospitality Management.
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office products and website content management systems; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
. Must have an ability to work productively alone or as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
. Ability to think and write creatively.
. Must have transportation to the office in East Norriton and the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
. Must be able to work 10 to 20 hours per week starting in October through mid-February 2016.

Internship Description:
The intern will assist Association/Foundation staff with the 2015 Driving Away the Cold program and preparations for the 2016 Philadelphia International Auto Show and Black Tie Tailgate Preview Gala. Duties will include the following:

. Assist with preparation and distribution of media relations materials including press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and talking points.
. Conduct research and compile data on topics pertinent to the automobile industry.
. Draft website updates; assist with social media planning and execution.
. Assist with communications to internal and external audiences.
. Assist with the development of the Association magazine.
. Attend meetings with our media buyers, public relations firm, production company, and television stations.
. Administrative duties such as answering phones, filing, and mailings.
. Assist with Association events such as the Golf Outing and the Automotive Technology Competition as needed.

Interns will be required to spend two (2) weeks working on-site at the 2016 Philadelphia Auto Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The show runs Jan. 30-Feb. 7, 2016. During this time, duties will include the following:

. Working side-by-side with Director of Public Relations.
. Working with Auto Show Director and Events Administrator if needed.
. Working in the Auto Show office if needed.
. Creating promotional and media packages.
. Assisting with special event/press conference coordination for Mayor’s Drive In and Media Day at the Auto Show.

. Assembling press credentials for Media Day and Black Tie Tailgate.
. Working press registration desk for Media Day and Black Tie Tailgate.
. Working in Media Room for the duration of the Auto Show. Responsibilities include the
following: organization of press kits/materials, assisting press with information/directions, updating press releases.
. Other duties as assigned.
