The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking an undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate (within one calendar year) with a major in journalism or writing for a paid summer internship in the Public Affairs Department.
This is an opportunity to earn a paycheck while interning for a dynamic communications team and gaining experience in corporate communications and public relations. Our intern will edit and produce original content for weekly and quarterly internal publications, write press releases and posts for various social media channels, and create slides for the Bank’s digital signage system.
Our intern will also gain exposure to all areas of our organization, with more than 800 employees, and contribute to various national initiatives involving the Federal Reserve System. This internship incorporates various types of writing — from magazine-style feature stories (which include interviewing and original reporting) to media pitches to posters.
- The candidate must be organized, self-motivated, creative, and detail oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Possess strong writing, editing, proofing, research, and verbal communication skills
