Opportunity: Under supervision by the Director of Employee Communications, the Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for the strategic implementation of the global internal communications plan. S/He will assess and assist the Director in articulating and planning global employee communications needs, ensuring that deliverables are in alignment with the Company’s strategy, purpose, vision, core values and branding This position acts as a Subject Matter Expert and represents the department.
Division Information: The Corporate division is the central operating unit of the company setting strategy and policy and providing business development, finance, human resources, information technology, investor relations and legal support to the businesses. Company headquarters are located just outside of Philadelphia in Limerick, PA.
Position Description: Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement global employee communications plans in conjunction with enterprise-wide teams, including Human Resources and senior management and external resources. The plans may include development of content for a wide variety of audiences, including employees, potential employees, and members of Teleflex local communities. The candidate should demonstrate direct experience in planning, providing creative direction, understanding printing/digital production, and have experience in how to employ a wide variety of tactics and deliverables to achieve objectives, such as: brochures, posters, advertising, direct mailers, emails, videos, intranet and internet, internal and external social media, events, PR, etc.
•Confirm consistent presentation of the Company and its brands, ensuring branding, positioning and key messages are accurate.
•Serve as the global employee communications Subject Matter Expert. Collaborates with contributors from the regions to enhance, develop and publish compelling content to promote global awareness.
•Collaborates with IT to review, maintain and continuously improve the functionality, accuracy and traffic level/results of internal communications technology, including intranet, email, in-house television, etc.
•Manage assigned projects, which may include: project definition, resource identification (internal/external), resource management, production/implementation, metrics, developing timelines etc.
•Encourage development of metrics-based components for all projects and programs; analyze and make recommendations for improvements.
•Work within assigned budgets and timelines. Make timely, proactive recommendations to plans when needed.
•Work in accordance with Corporate Standards, including approved vendors, quality and labeling procedures, and other processes.
Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in journalism, business, marketing, communications or associated field.
•Five to seven years’ professional experiencedeveloping and executing results-driven employee and internal communications campaigns, using comprehensive range of traditional and digital communications techniques and best practices.
•Proven record of excellent oral and written communication skills; able to convey concepts to various audiences. Must demonstrate ability to create content as well as edit accurately and according to style guides.
•Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with colleagues at all levels and across cultures.
•Demonstrates professional, respectful demeanor with co-workers to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, inter-departmental objectives, and departmental goals and objectives.
•Demonstrates high ethics and compliance when working with highly sensitive, confidential corporate projects.Preferred Qualifications:
•Accustomed to working in fast-paced, demanding, matrixed, global organization.
•Plans and arranges own work and priorities with minimal supervision.
•Works effectively under pressure and in emergency situations, to meet strict deadlines and goals.
•Advanced computer software competencies using Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•Experience with SharePoint preferred.
