We are looking for an energetic and meticulous UI/UX Designer. We’d love to work with someone who can turn our thoughts into reality in designs that are friendly and inviting, yet elegant, contemporary and fresh. If you want a place to grow and learn, this is it. You will work closely with Azavea’s software development teams to wireframe, create, and implement user interfaces for our web and mobile software applications. On occasion, you will also be required to create some print (e.g. fliers and marketing collateral), and web designs (e.g. web pages and ads) for our marketing team.
Here’s what we’re looking for
o Experience wireframing web and mobile applications
o Experience with front-end implementations
o Deep knowledge of Adobe graphic design software: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, (Flash desirable, but not a must)
o Familiarity with skinning a CMS such as Concrete5, WordPress or Drupal
o Clean, efficient accessible design aesthetic for web and mobile software applications
o Collaborative attitude
o Radical attention to detail
o 1-3 years of applicable experience
o Interested in geography, maps, data and visualization
o Interested in technology, the web, and geeky projects
o Strong organization and time management skills
o Strong ability to work independently and use initiative to get things done
