> Job Description: The Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and Jewish Reconstructionist Communities (RRC/JRC), located in Wyncote, PA, seeks an experienced, highly motivated leader for the position of Assistant Vice President for Communications. Reporting to the Vice President for Strategic Advancement, this officer provides senior-level administrative support to overseeing all of the communications and marketing of RRC/JRC. We have an innovative and award-winning Communications team of five staff members and growing that needs a self-motivated and entrepreneurial thinker to help develop new ideas and see them through to completion, while working with the Communications team to enhance efficiency and best deploy our dedicated staff. This person will manage our Communications team and help devise communications strategies and implement initiatives.

> The Assistant Vice President for Communications will be responsible for:
> • Steering the communications agenda to accomplish organizations strategic goals
> • Leading a communications team to support the needs of a variety of constituents internally and in the broader community
> • Coordinating with other departments to develop and manage integrated communications campaigns
> • Collaborate closely with the Vice President to develop, design, plan, and implement an aggressive communications and marketing program
> • Cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with media and other communication resources
> • Developing and providing strategic direction and strategies for a comprehensive organizational program and plan, and utilize effectively all of RRC/JRC’s technical and people resources that engage all constituents both internal and external
> • Overseeing The Reconstructionist Press
> • Facilitating promotional opportunities and activities
> • Overseeing department project planning
> • Writing and copy editing

> Salary/Job Requirements: The right candidate will be able to manage and implement multiple projects and responsibilities at once. Significant experience in the nonprofit and/or for-profit sector with proven experience in all forms of communications, especially writing. Experience in various aspects of strategic communications such as advertising, public relations, marketing, social media, development, strategic partnership development, writing, publishing, video production, and others, all highly desirable.

> • Working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to execute all aspects of media and media production, both electronic and print
> • Ability to originate, formulate, and implement strategies and communicate goals and objectives
> • Knowledge of organizational team-building, management, and monitoring of progress and achievements
> • Ability to conduct research and compile facts and data
> • Knowledge of Mail Chimp or Constant Contact a plus
> • Good organization and time management skills
> • Writing skills for print and electronic media as well as reference and scholastic books and journals
