Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church is seeking a full-time Assistant for Communications to provide a professional level of design, layout and editing assistance to the Director, Communications and Public Relations and to serve as a reliable and cordial source of information about the church to staff, congregation and community.
Design & Production
Designs, produces and distributes printed materials including flyers, brochures, booklets, bulletins, posters, and cards;
Edits and proofs all material that is publicized by BMPC;
Organizes content schedules across departments to align with a church-wide communications strategy;
Develops an expert-level understanding of the church branding and content guidelines
Creates weekly digital newsletter;
Updates the website, keeping content accurate, appropriate, and fresh in appearance;
Develops BMPC’s social media strategy and manages posts on all social media accounts;
Photographs events, and edits photographs and videos as assigned;
Publishes the electronic version of all pastors’ sermons on website weekly.
Desired Skills Include:
Mailchimp/ Constant Contact
• Bachelor’s degree in communications/related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in graphic design, proofreading, social media management, photography.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
