La Salle University Department of Communication One Year Faculty Position

The Department of Communication at La Salle University invites applications to fill a one-year, full-time faculty position, with the possibility of annual renewal. The appointment will be effective August 2016.

The Department of Communication features tracks in Mass Media, Public Relations, Communication Management and Journalism. The ideal candidate would be qualified to teach 3-4 courses in the Mass Media and/or Public Relations tracks. Ability to teach courses in organizational communication, public relations, video production or editing, broadcast journalism, or similar professional skill-building courses is a plus.

A candidate should possess at least the M.A. in Communication or a closely aligned field, previous teaching experience, and significant professional experience in one’s area of expertise.

Candidates should include a letter of application describing their qualifications for the position; a current vitae/resume’; and three letters of recommendation, at least one of which should address the candidate’s effectiveness in teaching. Finalists for the position will have to supply official academic transcripts.
