QVC, the world’s leading video and ecommerce retailer, is seeking an experienced professional to Manage our Internal Communications with our Customer Fulfillment Services team. Under the direction of the Director Internal Communications and Corporate Events, the Manager, CFS Internal Communications will lead the strategic internal communications program for our US Customer Fulfillment Services (CFS) network, which includes our call centers and distribution centers.

The Manager is this role will:

• Plan and execute internal communications for employees in multiple locations, including hourlies who are not currently connected to our electronic platforms.
• Partner with senior executives to use communications to engage employees in our brand, strategies and culture.
• Coach and develop other communicators.

Some highlights of the role include:
• Strong strategic communications and planning skills, with good independent judgment and decision making. The person must be confident and able to influence a wide range of internal and external people with a well-informed point of view, while also embracing a collaborative approach to communications development.
• Assess current needs of CFS to effectively communicate internally, both within the immediate functional team and to all employees.
• Advance an integrated strategic communications program for CFS that elevates communications across the network and connects to the overall company communication strategy.
• Develop and execute communication plans and deliverables that embrace business unit and corporate goals via consistent messages about business strategy, financial performance and culture.
• Create fresh, innovative communication approaches and consistently execute superbly, quickly and efficiently. Utilize multiple communication channels (including web, video, visual, social and others) to reach a diverse workforce, including wired and non-wired employees. Tailor communications to various audiences within the workforce.
• Write accurate, compelling and impactful copy to communicate with clarity and effectiveness about organizational change, new initiatives, etc., in a way that all readers clearly understand.
• Develop and execute communications for senior executives, designed to educate, engage and establish rapport with all employees through timely and candid messaging.
• Establish a high level of influence with clients. Must be viewed as a trusted advisor by senior executives within the company.
• Ensure communications needs are being met in a creative and accurate manner.
• Foster a coaching-rich environment where team members are highly accountable, take informed risks, learn from their experiences, and expand their skills.
• Prioritize projects, oversee progress and provide approvals to accomplish projects within established high standards.
• Develop and manage budget, as needed.
• Other business related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Education: BA/BS degree in Communications Public Relations or Business, Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in a communications role within a corporation or agency.
• 3-5 years RECENT and DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE managing and developing a team required.
• Experience in site-level communications and communicating to hourly, non-wired employees strongly preferred.
• Experience with global brands, working with publicly traded companies, and retail industry knowledge preferred.
• Steady progression in the communications field, including supervisory roles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills required.
• Technologically savvy, able to quickly learn new technologies and help others learn them.
• Skilled in web based communications, including intranet and social media tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to develop compelling video and other visual communications, using such tools as PowerPoint, Photoshop, Movie Maker and others.
• Ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organization and win the confidence of senior executives as a strategic business partner.
• Ability to comprehend and apply complex information to create compelling communications
• Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and goals.
