The Corporate Public Relations and Corporate Communications Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Social Media Content Specialist-Behavioral Health Division.
Executes the UHS Corporate social media plan for specific Behavioral Health (BH) Hospitals by employing a content strategy across key platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) including copywriting, posting and reporting metrics to assigned BH facilities. Coach’s facilities on social media best practices and content guidelines. Supports Social Media Content Team in content creation including copywriting with focus on interactive photography and video. Engages in thousands of social conversations related to UHS and its facilities. Monitors for errors and responds in real time. Performs follow-up with local Facility leaders, Directors/Business Development, Quality and Legal teams when necessary. Works with others in the UHS Corporate Social Media department and at the Facilities to plan and conceptualize, schedule, develop, implement and measure new and ongoing campaigns deployed across social media platforms. Uses reputation management platform for metrics, trend analysis, etc.
Key Responsibilities include:
*Manages and produces Social Media Content for assigned BH accounts on Facebook, Twitter, including copywriting, posting, and reporting. Creates interactive photographic and video elements.
*Engages in thousands of social conversations regarding UHS and its facilities.
*Monitors posts and notifications for reviews, messages and responds in real time with a service excellence approach.
*Performs follow-up with Risk, Legal and local service lines when necessary.
*Collaborates with marketing directors for assigned hospitals and other hospital and corporate employees to assist in planning and production of content that supports hospital and corporate goals, brand and reputation.
*Remains attentive to online “buzz” surrounding various assigned hospitals.
*Collaborates with internal advertising team (designers, copywriters, managers, etc.) to coordinate activities and ensure online content is integrated into ongoing marketing campaigns.
*Stays current with trends and technology in social media, identifies opportunities to apply new technology and techniques to platforms to gain efficiency and effectiveness.
*Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, etc. for business purposes and Microsoft Office.
*Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
*Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to write about complex subjects in a manner that is appealing to a non-medical audience (i.e., patients, families, community members).
*Working knowledge of social media copywriting best practices and familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques for web and social media.
*Fluent in AP Style and experience with WordPress preferred.
*Has strong time management skills, is able to handle many concurrent tasks/projects, has a flexible and collaborative work style, is able to work independently and/or with the Social Media Manager and Director of Public Relations, and works well within a fast-paced corporate environment.
*Three to five years of experience preferred.
Travel Requirements: minimal domestic US travel (depending on projects).
